Want to sign up? Here’s where to start.

For the past three years I’ve worked with students ages 5-18 from every skill level and background. No matter what, my main commitment is to make sure they’re comfortable and confident in the art they make. Each student brings something unique to the table, my job is to find out what that is and how they can use it to shine.

Before you become a student, you’ll receive a free ten-minute get-to-know-you session with me to chat about your goals, skill level, and what you’re working towards. For inquiries, hit “Join the studio!” below.

Hear from my students and their loved ones...

“Chris is a brilliant combination of talent, energy, patience, maturity, and youth. He is a talented artist with a gift for teaching who also happens to be a really nice guy.”

"My daughter loves her voice lessons. I can hear Chris talking to her from the other part of the house and really paying attention to her. He found the root of not just how she was singing, but why she wants to sing. We are so grateful for you, Chris!”

“Singing makes me smile, and I like doing it with Chris.”

Ellie, age 7

Before you book, here’s a little more about my credentials.

I discovered musicals when my parents took me to Wicked in 2009, and I was hooked immediately. In 2006, I started piano lessons and continued until high school when I switched over to voice lessons.

I studied all the theatre and music I could at New Trier high School. I performed in 6 shows throughout high school, directed Lagniappe-Potpourri, and won the Chris Tkalcevic Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Musical Theatre my senior year.

My theatre studies continued in college at Indiana University Bloomington where I received a BA in Theatre and Drama, with coursework in acting, directing, script analysis, theatre design, stage writing, and performance. I also sang with the Grammy-winning Singing Hoosiers and participated in 3 productions at IU.

I’ve studied with the same voice teacher since I was 14, Dr. Brad Nitschke. One of the most talented vocalists and musicians I know, his decades of experience have helped shape me into the educator and artist I am today.

Professionally, I’ve had the pleasure of singing in Cabarets across the country. When I was a senior in high school, I got to sing in the debut Tuesdays at 54: With Robbie Rozelle! at New York City’s famed 54 Below. The following year, I had the opportunity to perform with Broadway star Jessica Vosk during her Wild and Free tour at The Cabaret in Indianapolis just 5 days before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since COVID, I’ve written, produced, directed, and performed in my own one-man cabaret With a Bang, which served as my senior recital in Bloomington and made it back to the New York stage for a one-night-only performance at Don’t Tell Mama.
